·在中文里“尽管”，“虽然”，后面要接“但是”，在英文里这俩词只能出现一个

·引导让步状语从句，从句中的信息固然是真的，但主句中的信息更加重要

My old friend, Harrison, had lived in the Mediterranean for many years before he returned to England. He had often dreamed of retiring in Englandand had planned to settle down in the country. He had no sooner returned than he bought a fine house and went to live there. Almost immediately he began to complain about the weather, for even though it was still summer, it rained continually and it was often bitterly cold. After so many years of sunshine, Harrison got a shock. He acted as if he had never lived in England before. In the end, it was more than he could bear. He had hardly had time to settle down when he sold the house and left the country. The dream he had had for so many years ended there. Harrison had thought of everything except the weather.

even though 尽管，即使：表示虽然存在某种情况，但不影响另一种情况的发生

as if 好像，仿佛：用于表示某事物或行为看起来像是另一种情况，但实际上并非如此

分析主谓
1. 先找谓语动词 2.再找对应的主语 3.看连词，关系词
The dream he had had for so many years ended there.
·第一个谓语 had had，搭配主语 he
·第二个谓语 ended，与它搭配主语是 The dream
·The dream ended there 是主语，he had had for so many years 是 the dream 的定语，所以下次遇到这种形式，主 主 谓 谓，中间的句子就是从句，这句话是定语从句
She knew she was near the shore.
·主 谓 主 谓，后面的是从句，因为主句，主语 She knew____，缺东西，也就是缺宾语，这句话是宾语从句
练习

1.先找出谓语

2.再找主语
·The present she gave me was very amazing.
3.找连接词，连接词被省略了，开始分析句子，The present 主语，she 主语 gave 谓语 was 谓语，如果看的多了就一眼能看出它是定语从句，看不出就采用 主 主 谓 谓的经验，中间的一定是从句，具体是什么从句就要看从句前面的那个词语，本句话中主语 The preset，礼物，名词，she gave me，她给我的，限定礼物的范围，定语，所以是定语从句

1. 先找谓语

2. 再找主语

3. 最后找连接词，连接词被省略了，开始分析句子，主 谓 主 谓，所以前面的是主句，后面的是从句，这是通过上面总结的公式来找到，我们看这个句子 the girl struggled up the cliff towards the light 主句完整，不缺成分 she had seen，从句不完整，缺个宾语，往前看，与它相连的是 the light，she had seen the light，她看到过的灯，限定范围，所以是定语，且 the light 做从句的宾语，所以可以省关系词。这句话是定语从句
看的多，断开的多了，就会很容易的看懂一句话了
