Only when you care too much about other people’s views and opinions will you unceasingly look for their recognition.

太在意别人的视线和评价，

才会不断寻求别人的认可。

It’s the pursuit for recognition that throttles freedom. 

对认可的追求，

才扼杀了自由。

You choose an unfree way of life because you don’t want to be detested by anybody.

由于不想被任何人讨厌，

才选择了不自由的生活方式。

In other words, freedom is to no longer look for recognition.

换言之，

自由就是不再寻求认可。
