After the war, Moore enrolled at the Leeds School of Art, where he studied for two years. In his first year, he spent most of his time drawing. Although he wanted to study sculpture, no teacherwas appointed until his second year.

1 花大部分时间做某事

某人 spend most of time doing某事

 

2 否定词和until连用，表示“直到.......才......”

it was not until + 时间段 + that  主谓宾

直到....时段，某事才发生。

 

It was not until 1911 that the first of the vitamins was identified.

直到1911年才发现了第一种维生素。

 

三 写作造句运用
