胸腺素α1（Thymosin alpha 1）是一个肽片段，来自Prothymosin α，一种由PTMA基因编码的蛋白质。它是胸腺法新里的活性成分。
这是第一个从胸腺素组分5中获得的肽被完全测序和合成。与β胸腺肽不同，胸腺肽α1是由一个较长的113个氨基酸的前体原胸腺肽α产生的28个氨基酸片段，与β胸腺素在遗传和化学上无关。
