How do we do workfront planning?

I think we start with a strong assumption, “Plans hardly work”.
I believe good plans always work. The problem is mainly with bad plans. The best of us make mistakes with planning. This is the reason why plans don’t work.
Successful people have the ability to make more realistic plans and it is important to note that a realistic plan which is too easy to achieve is not necessarily a good plan. A good plan is something that is realistic yet achieves the final goals. This is very hard to achieve and successful people are very good at this.
If fact planning has more uses than just “working” which is its primary use. A good plan will let you work with lesser stress and pressure. It is known that work done with lower stress levels is generally better. (I make some assumptions here)
Planning also helps break down large projects in to smaller achievable targets. This allows people to work with more clarity and direction that when faced with an enormous task with no clear indication of where to begin.
Planning helps people pace their work. It allows people to know how their initial estimates have worked and what more they need to do if they have to meet their targets. There by allowing short term failure but preventing long term failure.

Spending time with my amazing, generous, ambitious, thoughtful, handsome partner of the past 15 months, Eddie Schodowski, in Florida!
We are celebrating Eddie's amazing FE score, the end of my chemical engineering co-op, the end of Eddie's first PDT rotation, my upcoming semester abroad in Thailand
Eddie is an amazing mentor to others, both formally and informally, to his friends and family alike. He is the most curious person I have ever met, and reads more than anyone else I know. He is patient, loyal, forgiving, generous, and thoughtful—he sent flowers to my mother on Mother's Day. He is driven, ambitious, courageous, and disciplined—he has hustled so hard for all his amazing achievements, and deserves every one. He believes in doing the right thing, even when it's really hard, and has been unbelievably encouraging to me to do the same.
I am so excited to have a vacation with this special person who I love so much.

just have a realistic plan, so that it can be achieved. otherwise it is all waste of time in making any schedule.
also don’t make too tight schedule, have some time for leisure and fun also.
devide days according to subject, i.e. if you have 30 days and 3 main subjects , make 10 days per subject.
or devide each day, 15 working hours( excluding sleep and other regular works) to 3 subjects, 5 hours each to one subject.
then devide that subject into topic wise or if you are only taking questions ,then year wise devision of questions.
you can use phone to write this schedule or laptop or simply normal pen and paper it depends on you.
thank you. please feel free to ask if any doubt persists.

If it is more than 20 percent of your time.
Preparation is key. However, it can actually get dangerous if you spend too much time on it.
I found myself at times doing huge planning sessions, researching best practices, coming up with several ultra long to-do lists, preparing different productivity tools and setting up complex workflows for everything…
In short, really going overkill on preparation, planning, and scheduling.
Sounds familiar? Then planning has just become another form of procrastination.
The same thing can happen with morning routines. They are great to get you into peak state to be productive during the day.

But with all the things you can put into a morning routine, you could spend three hours "getting in state" and actually not really accomplish anything until it is nearly lunchtime already.
In the end, this form of procrastination probably comes from perfectionism, the need to get everything perfect first before you can execute.
And of course, high uncertainty avoidance, having resistance to just get started and step into the unknown without everything laid out in detail.
For any project that you have, give yourself a clear deadline and only spend 10 percent researching, 10 percent planning, but 80 percent executing.
Well, it’s better to start with minimal research and planning because you mostly have to adjust along the way anyway.
Planning is key and has its place, but don’t let it get overboard.
