雨水（Rain Water）是二十四节气中的第二个节气，也是春季第二个节气。时至雨水，北半球日照时长增加，气温回升较快，降雨增多，多以小雨或毛毛细雨为主。此时天气变化不定，气温也是忽冷忽热，乍暖还寒。俗话说“好雨知时节，当春乃发生”，适宜的降水对农作物的生长很重要。雨水时节，中国北方地区尚未有春天气息，南方大多数地方则是春意盎然，一幅早春的景象。

Rain Water, the second of all 24 Chinese Solar Terms（二十四节气）, is also the second of the Solar Terms for spring. From Rain Water and on（这里是一个翻译难点：文中所指时期，应该是从此节气开始之后）, daytime in north hemisphere gets longer and temperature goes up fast, together with an increase in rainfalls, the majority of which are light rainfalls or drizzles（drizzle 毛毛雨）. Weather during Rain Water can be still unpredictable and temperature can go either hot or cold, it may drop cold anytime when it is going warm. There is a saying that "The rain knows its proper times to come into being, coming falling from the skies in times of spring"（好雨知时节，当春乃发生） Proper and adequate rainfall is of great siginifcance（be of significance to sth./sb. 对……意义重大） to crops. In Rain Water times, it might still be hard to sense spring in most regions in northern China, while in southern China, it is already in sight a picture full of early spring vigor（早春的春意盎然）.

雨水（Rain Water）是二十四节气中的第二个节气，顾名思义，雨水标志着降水的增多。古语云：“立春天渐暖，雨水送肥忙。”雨水节气的天气特点对农作物生长有很大的影响。进入雨水节气，北方地区仍然春寒料峭，而华南地区早已是春意盎然，百花盛开。如果说“立春”是春天的第一乐章“奏鸣曲”(sonata)：春意萌发、春寒料峭。雨水之后，便进入了春天的第二乐章“变奏曲”(variation)：气温回升、乍寒乍暖。

Rain Water is the second of the 24 Chinese Solar Terms（24节气）, as can be known from the name（顾名思义） Rain Water, it marks an increase in rainfalls. There is a proverb amongst farmers（农间谚语） that "The beginning of Spring is a time the earth warming, while Rain Water is a great time for land working.(立春天渐暖，雨水送肥忙)" Characteristics of weather during Rain Water have great influences on crops. When time has crossed into Rain Water, people in northern China regions still feel bone-chilling spring cold（料峭春寒） while what people can feel in southern China regions is full spring vigor and warmth, with flowers blossoming in full proud（百花盛开）. If we compare The Beginning of Spring to the "sonata", the first movement of a music sheet, a time when lives come back in chilling spring cold, Rain Water is then the "variation", the second movement, a time when temperature goes up but may suddenly drop cold anytime.（乍寒乍暖）
