I''''m sad and embarrassed by this vlog, but hope that it can help someone else not make the same mistakes that I made. Flying a drone is an enormous responsibility and it''''s critical to study up on the laws where you want to fly and obey all regulations, but even when you do everything right things can still go very VERY wrong. From losing all my footage from the day before to multiple expensive pieces of equipment being lost over the edge of a cliff, this day was the biggest disaster I''''ve had while traveling. If you have trouble understanding what I''''m trying to say during the melodramatic sobbing, feel free to turn on closed captioning.

We were so excited to visit the unique floating mountains of the Zhangjiajie National Forest during our 21 days in China. We battled the muggy heat on our hike and it was worth all the effort for the stunning views. Riding in the cable cars down the mountain felt like flying through the movie Avatar.

oh my, sorry for you. but in china you can always ask for some help, it may help you get your Memory card back at lest. even people dont speak english they will know you need help and find some one who can speak, make phone calls for you etc. and its for free. some times you can also try service line in china, it may not work, but some times it may surprise you. it depends on policy in different countries, and it will not replace u a new one. but it may help u get a new one with low price. i have some chinese equipments buy in france and i called chinese service and they did help me.

Beautiful, unique place. Feels like one of those places that are really worth to go to despite its touristyness, that is worth all the attention it gets.
Meanwhile understanding the shame feeling of going into a McDonalds in a foreign country, I must admit the risk is huge that I would do the same up there if it''''s the only thing there is...haha. At least for a coffee and probably a real non-squat toilet :P A bit sad there''''s only a McDonalds up there though, instead of a great Chinese restaurant or something.
Taking the cable car at least one way is not a shame though, I would say. But a bit sad it''''s not possible to stay for sunset.

另外，我很能理解在国外旅行时，走进一家麦当劳的羞耻感；但我不得不说，如果山顶就这么一家餐馆，冒再大风险我也会进去啊……哈哈哈。至少能喝到一杯热咖啡，或许还能找到一个非蹲式厕所 :P
可惜的是，那里只有麦当劳，而不是一家很棒的中餐馆什么的……
我还想说，乘缆车下山也并不丢人。但是不能留下来观赏日落，的确令人惋惜。

I was in china for 10 days last year and its a damn short time when the tour guide only gave us an hour to explore the entire places! Let alone if one of us were lost then we had to spend hours just to find the person..
God willing,next year i will go back to china for a fun trip!
