Part one:

"Absolute freedom."

"And the road has always led west."

Part two:

亚历克斯本来也能开着车的

Yeah,Alex could have a vehicle as well,

但他决定把钱烧了

but he decide to burn all of his money.

你为什么要那样做

Any why did you do that?

我不需要钱

I don't need money.

钱让人变得小心翼翼

Makes people cautious.

Part three:

我借梭罗的话解释一下

I'll paraphrase Thoreau here.

“与其给我爱 钱 信念”

"Rather than love,than money,than faith,

“名誉 公平”

'than fame,than fairness,

“给我真理”

‘give me truth.’

Part four:

大海唯一的礼物就是强大的海浪

"The sea's only gifts are harsh blows,

偶尔 你会有感受强大的机会

'and,occasionally,the chance to feel strong.

现在 我对大海了解不深

"Now, I don't know much about the sea,

但我知道大海是怎么样的

'but I do know that that's the way it is here.

'And I also know how important it is in life

"not necessarily to be strong,but to feel strong.

至少有一次机会去衡量自己

"to measure yourself at least once,

'to find yourself at least once in

最原始的人类生存环境中发现自我

the most ancient of human conditions,

独自面对冰冷无语的石头

'facing the blind,deaf store alone

没什么能帮你

"with nothing to help you 

只有你的双手和头脑

but your hands and your own head.'

Part five:

“如果我们承认理性能够主导人生”

"If we admit that human life can be ruled by reason,

“人生就毫无可能性”

"the possibility of life is destroyed."

Part six:

我的意思是 人类精神的核心来源于新体验

I mean,the core of man's spirit from new ecperiences.

Part seven:

不过 如果你认为人生的快了

But you're wrong if you think

主要来自于人际关系

that the joy of life comes peincipally

那你就错了

from human relationships.

上帝将快了赐给世间万物 快乐无处不在

God's placed it all around us.It's in everything.

我们能从任何事物中体验到快乐

It's in anything we can experience.

我们需要做的是 改变看待事物的方式

People just need to change the way they look at those things.

Part eight:

但我要告诉你一件事

But I wanted to  tell you something.

我把你所说的点点滴滴拼凑起来

From the bits and pieces I put together,

你知道的 你谈到了你的家人 你的父母

you know,from what you told me about your family,your mother and your dad.

我知道你对基督教义也存有怀疑

And I know you've got your problems with the church,too.

但确实存在着一种

But there's some kind of bigger thing

令人心存感激的至高无上的存在

we can all appreciate,

而且看起来你也不介意称之为上帝

and it sounds like you don't mind calling it God.

但是只有学会了原谅

But when you forgive,

你才能去爱

you love.

只有你去爱了

And when you love,

上帝的光芒才会照耀你

God's light shines on you.
