第一部分

一切的开始

当武装直升机的轰鸣声掠过红土平原时，一切都像往常一样平静。螺旋桨的噪音让原本炙热的气波更加焦躁不安。然而，即使在这样的环境中，卡尔·道恩仍然沉浸在这本略显破旧的书中，表情也在适时地变化。周围的世界好像与他毫无关系。

“这本书在说什么，卡尔?”班长问。

“哦，你说这个吗?”卡尔说，“一本关于魔法还是神话的书?”“是的，这上面写着‘北方神话’。”

“啊哈，今天的大发现!”“我们的卡尔喜欢魔术，魔法女孩~”其他人哈哈大笑，包括卡尔。

大约15分钟后，班长的对讲机开始发出嗡嗡声。他把头转向外面，说:“看来我们已经到达了，真正神奇的地方。”

随着整个班的视线转移，一个巨大的军事基地映入眼帘。一些车间散布在基地各处，一些汽车和直升机随意停放。随后一个声音插入进来:“陆航兵团第10军第四合成旅第21中队，欢迎来到开普勒帝国第一火力补给基地。”

作为第一支来到这里的中央陆军部队，也是第一次看到这个基地，大家还在疑惑，为什么他们被命令到这里来，建造这个隐蔽的军事基地的目的是什么，是为了战略部署，还是为了未来的军事科学?

螺旋桨扬起的大量烟尘提醒了中队，他们必须将疑虑转化为迅速的行动。

接应整个中队的只有三个穿灰外套的人。其中一个人微微歪着头朝中队的方向看了一眼，示意另外两个人到那里去。

在等待团队检查两人的时候，卡尔用眼角对基地进行了更仔细的观察。他发现，从基地的外表看，这只是一个普通的军事保障基地，甚至比普通的陆军团营还要老旧。但当他仔细观察时，发现周围有许多涂上环境色的岗亭。这正是这个基地的可疑点。岗哨太多了!如果说红土平原是无边无际的，那么这些岗亭可以说是比无边无际还要广阔!

“齐步走!”

中队长带领部队向最近的标有“A3”的哨所走去。

“排成一列!”

队伍在入口前改变队形后，大门逐渐打开。因为巨大的温差。一股凉风很快就吹到了队伍的前面。

进入“A3”后，卡尔发现里面其实有一部电梯，墙壁和地板与第一眼看到的基地完全不同。它们都是用金属制成的，电梯的壁可能是普通电梯的三倍厚。卡尔联想到几分钟前捕捉到的细节，他有一种感觉，地下一定有什么对国家，甚至对世界都非常重要的东西。

当电梯下降时，卡尔想起了他在这次任务之前写过名字的文件。必须要知道，他以前从来不需要签署任何东西。文件上只有这些内容:

官方的任务名称是:绝密

(死前绝对保密)

他的名字是卡尔·道恩

上级:中央大厅

他知道的只有这些，为什么，干什么，怎么干?中队里没人知道，连队长也不知道。

随着深度的增加，一些声音开始出现。听起来像爆炸声，但有点像发动机的轰鸣声。

越来越深，一些人的声音也渐渐浮现。

更深一层，来自地下的气味让卡尔知道他自己的想象力仍然太贫乏。他只在重型轰炸机制造厂闻到过这种气味......

向上加速的感觉越来越明显:这意味着他们真的到了。

“叮——”，电梯指示灯的颜色变成了绿色，沉重的门终于打开了。

令人震惊,

单纯令人震惊,

一种来自人类内心深处的震撼。

就像这个国家的一句名言，“你永远想象不到大海的浩瀚，直到你置身其中。”这个地方就是一个宏伟的工业艺术品，它创造着讨伐神明的武器。每个在地面上高6-10米的哨所，连接着一条长长的电梯，直达地下两公里的这个神奇之地，就像血管通向心脏一样。基地的高度似乎在500米至700米之间。基地被巨大的金属墙分隔成许多车间。仅仅一个车间就可以容纳20多架重型轰炸机!尽管很深，但所有的空间都灯火通明，数以百万计的巨大机械结构井然有序地运行，无数的运输车辆在这些令人惊叹的结构中穿行。一些机械部件由直升机在基地上空运输。

轰炸机，火箭，洲际核导弹，一些他们从未见过的钢铁巨兽......所有这些都围绕着一个像心脏主动脉一样的中心塔。一个巨大的标志由一个菱形和两个平行四边形组成，就像一个上升的火箭，矗立在塔的上方。在标志下面，写着“中央科技局”。

在没有任何解释的情况下，两名工作人员继续带领队伍，穿过机械部件，最终到达一座大楼，大楼入口处有两名似乎穿着空军制服的警卫。进去后，是一个很大的大厅。刚走进大厅的门，卡尔和他的战友们就感到了肃穆和压抑的气氛:这里已经整齐地站着空军、海军和导弹军的中队。几个将军在大厅前面讲台的一个角落里谈话。

“团队注意!”

卡尔刚走到正确的位置，主席台中央的将军迅速下了命令。每个人都摆出一个标准的姿势，等待着这位将军的讲话。

“嗯，我想你们都还在胡思乱想，对吧?”关于你为什么被召唤到这里，你的使命是什么?”

“但遗憾的是，即使是我，这个基地的副参谋长，也不知道原因。、“所以，我今天演讲的题目不是说明任务，而是介绍你们的领导和部队。”他清了清嗓子，打开手里的文件夹，继续说:

“根据中央军委404号调令，将CLA1000421、CNA0501802、CM1402808、CAF1103471共504人调至开普勒帝国第一火力补给基地。这些士兵组成开普勒第一先遣部队(FAK)。原中央空军“长鹰”第二大队队长捷列娜·科娃担任该部队司令员。建军之后，全军进入一级战备状态。所有士兵的直系亲属安全生活得到保障。切断与外界的一切联系。这支部队的所有任务都保持最高机密。”

卡尔和其他士兵仍然静静地等待着什么。

站台上传来清晰的皮靴声。

他们的首领来了。

“空军中校捷列娜·科娃，报到!”

“敬礼!”

双方向对方敬礼，士兵们凝视着他们的新领导人，领导人审视着她的部队。

是的，这是一名女军官，一柄刚毅的利剑，因她那双冷峻的黑色双目，她那果断的声音以及她那干净利落的姿态。

Chapter I

Part one

All things begin

When the roar of gunships sweep past the red soil plain,everything is as calm as usual. The noise of the propeller makes the originally hot air waves more restless.However,even in such environment,Karl·Dawn still immerse himself in the slightly tattered book,with expressions changing timely.The surrounding world has no relationship with him.

“What is the book talking about,Karl?”asked the squad leader.

“oh,do you mean this?”said Karl,“a book about magic or myth?yeah,this marked ‘North myth’.”

“Ah-ha,today’s big discovery!”exclaimed one of the squad,with his thumb towards Karl“our Karl likes magic,magical girl~”the others broke into laughter loudly,including Karl.

After about 15 minutes ,squad leader’s intercom started making a buzzing sound.Turning his head towards the outer sightseeing,the leader said“it seems that we have arrived,the truly magical place.”

Following the transfer of the whole squad’s sight,a giant military base came into sight.Some workshops scattered throughout the base ,with some cars and helicopters parked randomly. A voice subsequently inserted“21st Squadron of the 10th Division of the Fourth Synthetic Brigade of the Land Aviation Corps,welcome to the first fire supply base of the Empire of Kepler.”

As the first central land force that came to this place, also for the first time to see this base,everyone were still in the doubt that why they were ordered to get here and what’s the purpose of constructing this hidden military base,for strategic deployment,or for future military science?

A lot of dust picked up by the propeller reminded the squadron that they had to change their doubt into quick muster.

The ones that coordinated with the whole squadron were just three men in grey coats.One of these men glanced in the direction of squadron with a slight tilt ,hinting the other two man to there.

Waiting for the team check of the two men,Karl used his corner of eyes to give the base a more careful observation.He found that from the outer looking of the base,it was just a common military support base,even older than the common land force army regimental camp.But when observing roundly,he caught that there were many watchhouses coated with the surrounding color around here.And this was exactly the suspicious point of this base.They are too many watchhouses!If the red soil plain was boundless ,these houses could be said more boundless!

“Everybody,walk in unison!”

The squadron leader led the troops towards the nearest watchhouse signed “A3”.

“In one column!”

After the team changed their formation before the entrance,the door opened gradually.Because of the huge temperature difference.,a cool breeze was felt quickly by the front of the team.

Entering the “A3”,Karl found there was actually a elevator in it and the walls and floor was totally different from the first sight of base.They are all made in some metal, the elevator’s wall could be three times as thick as the normal one.Connected with the details he caught a few minutes ago,Karl had a feeling that there must be something under the ground that greatly mattered the country,even the world.

When the elevator descended,Karl remembered the document he had write his name on before this mission.It had to be known that he never needed to sign anything before.And there were just there things on the document:

The official mission name:TOP SECRET

(absolute confidentiality until death)

The name:Karl Dawn

The superior:Central Hall

All information he knew was just these.why?what?how?No one knows in the squadron,even the leader.

With the increase of depth,some voices began to appear.It sounded like boom,but a little similar with engine’s roar.

Getting deeper,some people’s voice also gradually emerge.

Deeper,the smell from the underground made Karl know his own imagination was still too barren.He had smelled it only in the heavy bomber manufacturing plant......

The feeling of upward acceleration became more and more obvious:it meant they were truly arriving.

“Ding---”,the color of elevator’s indicator light turned green,and the heavy door opened finally.

Shocking,

Just shocking,

Just the shock from the bottom of human’s heart.

Like the famous saying in this country ,“you will never imagine the bigness of sea until you get in there.”This place was a magnificent industrial artwork which created the weapon for crusading against the gods.Each watchhouse highed 6-10 meters on the ground connected with a long elevator straight towards the magical place two kilometers underground,like the blood vessel lead to the heart.The height of the base seemed to be 500-700 meters.Base was divided into many workshops by giant metal wall.Simply one workshop could contain over 20 heavy bombers! Despite of the depth,all the space were lighted,millions of huge mechanical structures ran orderly,countless transport vehicles walked through these amazing structures.Some mechanical component were transported by the helicopters across the base.

Bombers,rockets,intercontinental nuclear missiles,some iron monsters they had never seen before......all these surrounded with a central tower like the aorta of heart.A huge logo consisted of one rhombus and two parallelograms,like a raising rocket, stood over the tower.And under the logo,it marked “Central Science And Technology bureau”.

Without any explanation,two workers just kept leading the team,crossing the mechanical parts,ending at a building that had two guards who seemed to wear the air force’s uniform at the entrance.Getting in,there was a big hall.Just stepped into the hall door,Karl and his comrades could feel the solemn and repressive atmosphere:there had already other squadrons standing orderly here,from air force,navy and missile army.Some generals were talking at a corner of the platform in the front of the hall.

“Team attention!”

Just when Karl arrived at the right position,the general at the center of podium gave a command rapidly.With a clear swipe,everybody conformed a standard stance,waiting for the speech of this general.

“Well,I think all of you are still in messy thinking,right?About why you are called to get here,what’s your mission?”

“But it is a pity that even I,the vice chief of staff in this base,don’t know the reason. ”,“So,the title of my speech today is not explaining the mission,but introducing your leader and troops .”He cleared his throat,opened the folder in his hands ,continued:

“According to the 404 transfer order of Central Military Commission,transfer CLA1000421,CNA0501802,CM1402808,CAF1103471,totally 504 persons, to the first fire supply base of the Empire of Kepler.All these soldiers make up the First Advance Troops of Kepler(FAK).Former leader of the Second Group Of “Long hawk”Of Central Air Force,Terena Kova, serve as the troops’ leader.The whole troop entered a state of first-level war readiness since its establishment.All immediate relatives of the soldiers be in safety and life guarantee.All communication with outer world be cut.All missions in this troop keep in top secret.”

Still in silence,Karl and other soldiers were waiting for something.

A clear sound of leather boots on the platform.

Their leader came.

“Air force lieutenant colonel Terena Kova,report for duty!”

“Salute!”

Both sides saluted to the opposite ,soldiers gazed at their new leader,and the leader scrutinized her troops.

Yes,this was a female military officer,like a stouthearted sword,for her dark forbidding eyes,her resolute voice and her clean and agile posture.
