More and more people no longer read newspaper or watch TV programs to get news. They get news about the world through the internet. Is this a positive or negative development ? 越来越多的人不再看报纸或看电视节目来获取新闻。他们通过互联网获取有关世界的新闻。这是积极的还是消极的发展？

一、题目解析

这是老生长谈的话题啦，类似的题目21年4月3日也考过。

电视，报纸等这些传统媒介肯定是不能彻底遗弃的，题目说现在人们基本都是上网读新闻了，基本都不通过报纸或电视节目来获取新闻，这其实是弊大于利的。

虽然上网看新闻是更方便的，随时随地都可以获取新闻，但是网上各种新闻真假混杂，而且很多都是魔改了一些CCTV等电视节目上发布的新闻，为了博眼球写一些耸人听闻的标题，或者篡改了一些真实信息，引人关注；另一方面，报纸、纸质传播媒介其实会更让我们沉下心来仔细阅读，深入思考，而网络会不断推送给你各种新闻，量多且杂，干扰你的思考。

With the advent of information technology, the traditional media are pushed to the corner and are struggling to survive. Nowadays, People often get news about the world through the internet. While I accept that surfing the internet to read news can sometimes have a positive effect on the user, I believe that it is more likely to have a harmful impact.

There is no denying that reading news online brings more convenience to people because wherever you are—having dinner in a restaurant，walking in a street，or waiting for your flight in an airport—just take out your cell phone and press several buttons, then the article you want to read will be presented to you immediately on the screen.

However, I would argue that reading traditional printed newspapers or watching TV programs to get news have many benefits that outweigh those of using internet. Firstly, electrical newspapers make it a much more difficult thing to have deep reading and thorough thinking as they advocate fast and superficial reading with enormous information, while printed ones encourage slow and deep reading with proper amounts of exact information. Besides, from a health standpoint, people more easily have sore eyes while reading news online. On the other hand, in terms of getting news through watching TV, TV programs have larger audiences, including young children , elderly people, and other people who do not have an internet connection. Furthermore, the content of news from television is always true and reliable while that from internet is always fake and sensational.

All in all, Internet has certainly revolutionised news propagation, but not all of the outcomes of this revolution have been positive.To some degree, getting news through printed newspapers or television are still irreplaceable.
