Introduction:

Nonfiction stories based on realistic experiences offer readers a glimpse into the lives of others, providing valuable lessons and insights. As a beginner writer, you may find it challenging to craft such stories, but with practice and persistence, you'll get better over time. Here are some tips for starting your journey:

1. Choose a meaningful experience or event
Pick an experience that has had a significant impact on you or someone you know. It can be a personal event or a larger societal issue. Selecting a topic with emotional resonance will make your story more engaging.

2. Research and gather information
Learn as much as you can about the event or experience to provide accurate details and context. Conduct interviews, investigate primary sources, and consult relevant literature. Strong research forms a solid foundation for your story.

3. Develop your narrative arc
Organize your material into a coherent structure, which typically includes a beginning, middle, and end. Create tension by introducing conflict or obstacles, and resolve them with a satisfying conclusion. Use descriptive language to paint vivid scenes and bring your story to life.

4. Employ literary techniques
Use metaphors, similes, and other figurative languages to add depth and texture to your prose. Experiment with pacing and sentence structure to create atmosphere and mood. This will help your writing stand out and keep readers engaged.

5. Show, don't tell
Rather than simply stating what happened, show the reader through detailed descriptions and actions. Engage their senses and emotions to evoke a strong connection with your story.

6. Edit and revise
Once you've completed your first draft, revisit your work with fresh eyes. Look for inconsistencies, redundancies, and weak sentences. Ask for feedback from friends or writing groups to gain new perspectives on your work. Revise and polish your piece until it shines.

Writing nonfiction stories based on realistic experiences may seem daunting at first, but with the right approach and dedication, you'll develop the skills necessary to craft compelling narratives.

Remember to choose a significant event or experience, research thoroughly, employ literary techniques, and edit rigorously to create engaging stories that captivate readers.

Then here comes:

Guo YangZhen's writings on writing:

I think I've always been intolerant, I don't have the bandwidth to record a very good episode of a blog, and I don't have the flexibility to read difficult papers, and then make a video that can be understood by a beginner student of that specific field. I don't think I'm composed enough, I don't sit on the cool bench.

I know what I want, but I can't seem to create what other people want.

I know I'm making some emotional expression, but again it seems I can only translate it into words and can't get it out to a wider audience, or into one of my pieces. What kind of creator and expresser does the world need?

I have thought about this question countless times, and I am certainly continuing to explore it. But I don't think the answer is really clear. It doesn't matter if you're a master or just a little transparent white guy. There is a delicate balance to be found between expressing yourself and listening to your audience.

Does the world exist because of expression?

Is it enriched by the expression of life itself?

I don't think I know.

I hope that what I can leave the world within a thousand years' time will be works that really reach out to the people, works in which they can discover themselves. Everyone wants to be seen and to find themselves in their work.

And not to say that everyone is narcissistic, the most basic self-love should be there, right? So what do we do in our daily lives? Do we feel sorry for ourselves, or do we complain and grumble? Do we turn to other people for help, or do we pass on the negative energy and spread the fire on others?

I think any good writer should think about what kind of relationship he or she has with others. Then do your best to present that conflict and tension in your work, not just the pull between the protagonist and the supporting characters, but more importantly what clever interactions you can have as a writer-expresser and audience.

Recording one's daily experiences, reflections, and stories in one's life is a good means of accumulating material. And we should take this every day with a sense of normalcy and a very calm and objective observer attitude.

It's like watching a film with someone else in it and then actively sitting on the sidewalk and applauding them.

We are the first audience for our own work, our own words, and our own films. If we can satisfy ourselves, then it's a natural thing to satisfy others immediately afterward.

The key is how should a writer, a director, an artist, an architect, or a designer reach the level and stage of satisfying himself.

I think it is a continuous lifelong practice because every human being has the will and expectation of self-fulfillment. And the realization of this will and expectation is like what a donkey is doing who wants to eat the dangling carrot and pull the mill.

Each of us wants to become better and better, and we all want to be able to bring something to others that others are not able to create. Because that's what makes us different from everyone else in this world.

I am what I am is a firework of a different color.

This is not a lyric at all, but the true cry of everyone's heart.

All expressionists should be able to see through to the heart and point straight to the inside. You can pinpoint what others really want, and at the same time be incredibly clear and know how to help yourself get what others want.

It's a skill and an art, and it takes practice and discipline across decades.

So you see, if you want to write good work, good writing, to satisfy yourself, and to have a certain readership that finds it valuable, it's actually a very testing and challenging process.

It requires constant accumulation, it requires you to break it down into your own life script, and the story cases require a lot of interaction with other creators. More importantly, your work requires your heart and soul, and it doesn't matter who is satisfied at this point, because it will naturally flow out of you in the most beautiful way.

Writing is the journey of one person who finds a community of people
