被红尾鵟杀死的大角鸮

I was on a game drive in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve when I saw something in the distance – two big birds clashing in mid-air. The birds fell to the ground but I couldn’t see what had happened because the bush was too dense and the grass so high. My guide headed in the direction of the birds and a couple of minutes later we saw something on the road. We moved closer and could see a dead spotted eagle owl on the ground and a yellow billed kite feasting on it. The kite was so busy with the kill that we were able to get close to the scene and capture some pictures of the aftermath of a fight between these two large birds of prey.

喜欢我1公斤左右的黄嘴鸢空战爆头斑雕鸮吗？有一定杀伤力和空战能力的鹰隼即便体型体重有劣势一样有机会弄死雕鸮属成员。而换成其他差不多的1公斤左右的鸮形目猛禽对上雕鸮属成员则是毫无还手之力，毕竟是空战废物，加之体型硬件均不如且无法施展夜晚主场加持必定无敌神论。
