【全球通史读书笔记Ep21】谈谈目录单词要点（二十）
今天结束目录第八页的重点单词——
dominion——
-ion结尾，名词，表示统治权、领土，类似的单词还有opinion想法，union联盟，companion陪伴；
名词搭配一：have dominion over somebody/something拥有对某人/某事物的统治权；
名词搭配二：under one's dominion在某人的统治之下；
名词搭配三：the dominions of somebody/a government一个人/一个政府的领地。
书上搭配：the Americas and the British Dominions美洲和英联邦领地。
ethnic——
有形容词和名词两种词性——
形容词含义：民族的、民族风味的；
形容词搭配一：ethnic groups/communities民族群体/社会；
形容词搭配二：ethnic strife/tensions/violence种族冲突/矛盾/暴力；
形同词搭配三：ethnic clothes/jewellery/cooking民族服装/首饰/烹饪。
名词含义：少数民族的一员；
名词搭配：somebody is a ethnic某人是少数民族的。
书上搭配：ethnic Europeanization民族欧化。
consolidation——
-ation结尾，名词，巩固、合并，类似的单词还有consolation安慰，isolation孤立，segregation隔离；
名词搭配一：the consolation of power权力的巩固；
名词搭配二：the consolation of Japan's banking industry日本银行业的合并。
书上搭配：consolidation of Global Unity全球一体化的巩固。
burden——
有名词和动词两种词性——
名词含义：负担；
名词搭配一：bear/carry/ease/reduce/share the burden承受/担负/减轻/减少/分担重负；
名词搭配二：the burden of something/doing something某事物/做某事的责任；
名词搭配三：burden on/to somebody某人的责任；
名词搭配四：the burden of proof举证责任。
动词含义：烦扰；
动词搭配一：burden somebody/oneself with something让某人负担某事物；
动词搭配二：be burdened by something因某事物烦扰。
书上搭配：White Man's Burden白人的责任。
upside down——
副词短语：颠倒地、混乱地；
书上搭配：Marx turned upside down这里是指实际革命的发生顺序与马克思的预期相反，用了一个调侃的语气。
