Are people becoming addicted(上瘾) to technology?
In this digital age, technology seems to have become a part of our lives as we rely on it for work, study and even entertainment. More and more people find it difficult to live without technology, especially the Internet. For example, we can see everywhere that people watch short videos one after another for a long time, click on their social software every few minutes. Once they can’t get online, they don’t know what to do and may feel anxious, panicked and impatient about everything. In my opinion, there are two reasons for this phenomenon(n.现象). On the one hand, people are under great pressure, while the Internet provides a platform(n.平台) for people to relax themselves. By playing mini-games, vocal chatting with friends, watching movies and listening to music, people can easily forget their problems temporary. On the other hand, technology developers tend to create addictive products to attract more users. Leading to excessive digital consumption among young people, and making them increasingly dependent on their phones. Therefore, people should take technology addiction seriously.
