vindication: the fact of proving that what someone said or did was right or true, after other people thought it was wrong

eg. Nor was Mr. Darcy's vindication, though grateful to her feelings, capable of consoling her for such discovery.

profusion: an extremely large amount of something

eg. Your profusion makes me saving.

spur: to encourage an activity or development or make it happen faster

eg. It is such a spur to one's genius, such an opening for wit, to have a dislike of that kind.

allay: if you allay a strong emotion felt by someone, such as fear or worry, you cause them to feel it less or to feel calm again

eg. The tumult of Elizabeth's mind was allayad by this conversation.

encumbrance: something that makes it difficult for you to do something

eg. She was sensible that nothing less than a perfect understanding between the parties could justify her in throwing off this last encumbrance of mystery.
