Wife is making tripple burgers topped with deep fried snicker bars, candy corn, oreo cheesecake, and carmel sauce with a side of buttered bacon covered in maple syrup and powdered sugar.

Maybe in your country, but remember our closest language/cultural buddy in Europe is the UK and their healthcare system is imploding and having rather rough wait times at the moment. State healthcare is by it's nature extremely centralized, which has terrible repercussions if it's poorly managed. For the 90%+ of insured people here, even if you ideologically support universal healthcare there's a question of whether you really want to risk a messy, poorly managed public system when the current system is inconvenient but at least works - especially considering the decline in confidence many of us have had in the competency of our government over the past several years.
