蛋白精氨酸脱氨酶2（PAD2）是一种胍基修饰酶，以钙依赖的方式催化特定的精氨酸残基转化为瓜氨酸。这种酶已经与一些疾病有关，包括类风湿性关节炎（RA）、视网膜变性和某些癌症。PAD2已被证明可改变波形蛋白、纤维蛋白原和β/γ-肌动蛋白。在吸烟者的肺部，PAD2的细胞外水平增加，为吸烟作为RA的风险因素和RA患者的抗瓜氨酸蛋白抗体之间提供了联系。
