Osthole(蛇床子素)是一种抑制组胺 H1 受体 (histamine H1 receptor) 活性。传统中药 蛇床子的有效成分，具有抗炎、镇痛、降脂等作用。在鹌鹑模型中显著降低脂质蓄积。它对MPP（+）诱导的PC12细胞中细胞毒性的神经保护作用支持使用蛇床子素作为治疗神经退行性疾病的治疗剂。在 HER2 过度表达的乳腺癌细胞中抑制脂肪酸合成酶的表达表明蛇床子素有望成为化疗药物。
