更难的日子还在后面……美专家喊话：不明白为什么把戴口罩政治化

        美国连续两周日均新增新冠病例超16万例。据约翰斯·霍普金斯大学统计数据，截至北京时间22日，美国新冠病毒感染人数已超过1200万。

        美国流行病学家丹尼斯·卡罗尔（Dennis Carroll）提醒道：更艰难的日子还在后面……

        在接受央视新闻采访时，卡罗尔指出，美国人抵触日常防护，政府更是将戴口罩政治化。

• 我们看到从联邦政府到州政府，都将诸如戴口罩之类的公共卫生措施政治化了。我不明白他们为什么把这当作政治问题。

• We have seen both the federal government, the leadership from the White House and some of the president's colleagues at the governorship level, having politicized public health measures like masks. And it's beyond me. I don't understand why they have made this a political issue. 

        同时，他对未来的疫情形势表示担忧：“流感等呼吸道病毒的传播高峰实际上是在十二月份以及一月份。现在才刚刚开始。接下来的几个月将会非常非常非常具有挑战性。”

• The peak transmission for respiratory viruses like influenza are really December and January. So we're at the very beginning of it right now. So the next couple of months are gonna be very, very, very challenging. 

公共卫生专家呼吁：

感恩节避免旅行和集会

        据美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）报道，美国疾病控制与预防中心（ CDC）建议民众，避免感恩节出行和聚会。

• The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that Americans should not travel for Thanksgiving.

        CDC新冠疫情负责人亨利·沃克（Henry Walke）称，“我们看到病例呈指数级增长，并且有可能将疾病或感染从一个地方传播到另一个地方，因此，我们建议此时应避免出行。”

• "Right now, especially as we are seeing exponential growth in cases and the opportunity to translocate disease or infection from one part of the country to another leads to our recommendation to avoid travel at this time."

        “我们担心的一个问题是，人们在假期会聚集在一起，实际上他们可能会将感染带到小型聚会上，甚至自己都不知道。”

• "One of our concerns is people over the holiday season will get together and they may actually be bringing infection with them to that small gathering and not even know it," Walke said.

        美国约翰斯·霍普金斯大学发布的最新数据显示，截至美国东部时间21日15时27分（北京时间22日4时27分），美国累计确诊病例12019960例，累计死亡病例255414例。

        美国单日新增确诊病例数目前正快速攀升。11月20日美国新增确诊病例195542例，创下疫情以来美国单日新增病例数最高纪录。

        数据显示，美国累计确诊病例于11月9日超过1000万例，11月15日超过1100万例，平均每6天新增100万确诊病例。
