 Pass Royale It’s been close to 4 years since the first season pass was introduced. With so many cards and features having been added since, it’s time for an upgrade! Besides getting a fresh coat of paint from design, Pass Royale will start offering different options for different players. There’ll also be increased varieties of rewards. What this means to you: Pass Royale will be an even better value for you — making a must-buy every season! Events The Events tab is where you play challenges. Right now, besides Classic Challenge and Grand Challenge, it shows when there are special challenges and global tournaments. With this upcoming update, the Clash Royale team wants to make this more engaging by offering more variety of game modes and better rewards. What this means to you: did you have fun playing the special challenges like Super Mini Pekka? These special game modes will soon return in challenges where you’ll be able be able to play with them all the time! Seasonal Currency + Seasonal Shop Are you one of those people who dislike getting the Card Boost Potion in challenges? Do you feel that it’s too much grinding just to get a Golden Chest at 8 wins? Say no more — challenge rewards are getting revamped… in the form of a new seasonal currency and season shop. Instead of winning rewards directly from the number of wins, you’ll instead be given a new seasonal currency. You can then shop for your favorite rewards at the seasonal shop. What this means to you: you can get the rewards that’s actually meaningful to you. New Gameplay One more thing… Everything mentioned above are expected to appear in the soonish, but there’s something more exciting that Supercell is working on — new gameplay! The Clash Royale team has been hard at work in a new gameplay feature that’s intended to introduce a new layer depth for the Clash Royale gameplay, where you’ll unlock new powers for your favorite cards. These new powers will coincide with a new card level (15), and will affect a large collection of your cards at launch. Everything is still in active development so there’s not a lot to show yet, but be prepared for the dawn of a new era in Clash Royale coming towards the end of the year.
