STATE OF DBDMOBILE #14: THE CANNIBAL

Hello People of the Fog! 

It has been just over a month since Dead by Daylight Mobile launched nearly everywhere in the world, and we could not be happier with this wild ride. In what feels like practically overnight, our community has grown from a group of passionate beta players, to a worldwide player-base of over 3 million. While we’re still reeling in the excitement of launching our game, we’ve also been hard at work plotting our course through the months ahead. With the help of a lot of community feedback and a team of devs determined to make this game the best it can be, we’ve just released our first big update since launch, with much more to come throughout the year. 

New Face(s?) 

You may have noticed some hints throughout the last couple of weeks, but now it’s official; with this update comes the long–awaited terror of the deep south, The Cannibal. Wielding a vicious weapon that cuts like, well, a chainsaw, and really pushing the envelope on family values, Bubba Sawyer can take a Survivor from hale and healthy to dead on arrival with a single sweep. Take him for a spin this weekend – he is now available for purchase. 

Now that The Cannibal is a playable character in Dead by Daylight Mobile, his Teachable Perks will now be unlocked by progressing with him rather than appearing as general perks.

New Super Mystery Box Outfits 

Every month we release a new customization collection that can only be found in the Bloodmarket; this month the Treacherous Waters Collection pulls into shore. Gold-tier Super Mystery Boxes have a high chance to drop pieces of this collection; please note that you must own the character in order to find their outfit. This collection will only be available until June 14, so start saving up your Bloodpoints!

New Offerings 

During the beta phase, we received a lot of feedback about Mobile’s progression system. Many players identified that the differences between PC/Console and Mobile’s character progression mean that there are many ways to increase Bloodpoints earned between Perks and Offerings, but experience remains static. As a direct response to this feedback, we have designed and implemented a collection of XP Offerings, which can be found in the Bloodmarket! Like all Offerings, some are only for Survivors, only for Killers, or for both.  

Balance Changes 

While Dead by Daylight Mobile has many key differences in features and content, we periodically sync with the PC/Console game in order to merge all balance changes. With this update, we are now up to date with Mid-Chapter 15 balance changes. Please refer to our patch notes for more details.
