The premise of “Countdown” has Beyoncé running down all the ways she loves her man, using a lot of clever wordplay that culminates in a tip-your-head-back, shout-it-in-the-club chorus. At the time, she had been with her husband, JAY-Z, for almost a decade; ever the old soul, she isn’t singing about new love, or one-night-stand love, or ephemeral love.
