向吾俯首顶礼，吾即梦之皇帝； 吾踏足秘境，以万彩华阳为冕， 吾扶摇九霄，以失落诸天为衣， 吾登临高天之巅的御座 熠熠眸光照耀虚空无垠。 而因善妒众月永恒的驱使， 怒涛汹涌的大洋暴涨不息， 仿若疯狂膨胀的拥挤魔群 在相轧中嘶吼着向吾奔袭； 群山之峰至锐至坚， 硫磺焚于炎渊之底， 熔岩无谓的轰鸣震彻寰宇； 还有那广袤的蛇形木林， 黏糊糊的树干疯长蟠结， 纠缠追逐我飞行的踪迹， 跨越被上主唾弃于火的时年； 巫师与恶王阻吾前行， 其人所携的黄褐色龙皮卷上 蠕虫状符文的扭曲辉光长明； 群星间弥漫银白的芬芳， 飘来塞壬泡沫般的歌谣， 诱惑吾去往她们的晶礁； 蛇瞳的老魔鬼居住的众月， 凭借古怪侏儒卑劣的智略， 在吾前路上拔起冰峰连绵； 但无物可阻吾抵达所愿， 那由煌日，万古，与永恒战争所定 为众月众尘所歌颂的终点； 其名在一本亵渎典籍的末页， 乃是邪神书写的炽红谕令中， 被遗忘象形文字奥秘的一切； 这使吾心醉神迷的终点， 许在那些最丰饶的乐园， 它们日益繁多以此容敛 吾执掌雷霆的众多化身， 与挥舞着被攥紧的闪电 吾思所统领的复生军团。 吾于此地呼唤吾之记忆， 忍受普照神国诸峰之光， 领导吾梦的哈米吉多顿， 吾军胜利之声转瞬即灭， 却已成为属于无限之乐： 因其足立于无穷世界上， 远及异域的诸纪元， 其臂高抬如巨柱擎天， 轻易撑起现在与未来 众神的无数神座， 并托举阿斯莫德之位 置于第七重天国。 【注释】 【哈米吉多顿】哈米吉多顿是《圣经》中提到过的一次战争，它使天下各国民聚集对抗基督。战争结果是兽（罗马教皇）被打败，全军覆灭，他与他的同伙被投进火湖里，永远受苦。 【阿斯莫德】塔木德神话里的人物，莉莉丝是他的妻子，他是亚当和Naamah的孩子。同时也是七宗罪中”淫欲“的代表魔王，也是所罗门王七十二柱魔神之一。 《大麻吸食者或恶之启示录》是“奥本的吟游诗人”C.A.史密斯最杰出的一首无韵长诗，也正是此诗成就了他“梦之皇帝”的美名。这里鄙人仅仅只是翻译了此诗的第一节，翻译这篇杰作时实感诚惶诚恐，如有错漏之处还请诸君斧正。 以下为鄙人对本节的一些主观的，独断的想法，在阅读本节诗作时可供参考，如有不同想法也欢迎讨论。 私以为，本节可分为四个部分。 第一部分为“梦之皇帝”，此部分的气势最为恢宏：戴日为冕，披天作衣，想象奇绝又合乎情理——日悬头顶，岂非冠冕？天覆己身，岂非华衣？而在本部分最后，主角登上高天之巅的御座，极目远眺，鄙人推断他正是此刻看见了“终点”，并由此开始对这个“终点”的狂热追寻，从而引发下文中的种种阻碍。 第二部分是“追寻者”，在本部分中，主角共经六次阻碍，分别来自“大洋”“群山”“树林”“巫师与恶王”“塞壬”“众月”，值得一提的是，众月在本部分一共出现过两次，第一次阻碍的“大洋”也是被众月所驱使的，鄙人认为大概指的是月亮的潮汐力吧，如果月亮够多的话引起海水暴涨也不是没可能。 第三部分是“终点”，本部分介绍了主角所追寻的“终点”，而从后文中的哈米吉多顿来看，鄙人推测这个终点应该指的是末日之战的战场。 第四部分是“哈米吉多顿”，史密斯没有详写这场末日战争的过程，只是模糊地点出了战争的结局，也就是主角的胜利，从主角的军队托起众神的神座与阿斯莫德的座位来看，主人公可能象征的是哈米吉多顿中战败的“兽”，也就是罗马教皇，毕竟基督教是一神教，何谈众神？更何况阿斯莫德作为恶魔，又为何会被“吾之军队”托举至第七重神国？ 纵使只是第一节，史密斯便已凭其想象力震撼我心，这便是梦之皇帝的煌煌天威吗（笑）如果您没有时间读完史密斯的全部诗歌，那么请至少看看这首《恶之启示录》以及《踏星者》吧，《踏星者》在《虚境奇谭》中已有翻译。 附上本节原文： The Hashish Eater -or- the Apocalypse of Evil Clark Ashton Smith Bow down: I am the emperor of dreams; I crown me with the million-colored sun Of secret worlds incredible, and take Their trailing skies for vestment when I soar, Throned on the mounting zenith, and illume The spaceward-flown horizons infinite.
