looking forward to: (When you know something is coming in the future, you are excitied about it )

hope: (When you don't know if something will happen, but you want it to happen.)

expect: ( When you think something will happen, you're 90% sure, but you're not very excited about it.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and we've been looking forward to coming here for the last year. We've been hoping that the food will still be as good as it was last time. We expected the food will be more expensive this time and actually it is.
