Only a few weeks after the announcement of the upcoming departure of three-time DTM champion René Rast, Audi now announced that Swiss Nico Müller will be leaving the brand with the four rings at the end of the year as well.

As a result, Müller, who has been racing in DTM for the Ingolstadt brand since 2014 and has scored eleven DTM race wins to date, will have what for the moment is his final outing as an Audi works driver during the DTM season finale at Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg from 7 till 9 October.

In 2019 and 2020, Müller became runner-up in the DTM standings with the team from the Allgäu. For 2021, he returned to Team Rosberg and in the 2022 season, he scored his eleventh DTM race win in the Sunday race during the season opener at Portimão.

穆勒在2019和2020赛季均拿到了年度亚军的成绩，2021年则是回归罗斯伯格车队，并在今年的揭幕战波尔帝芒上拿到了生涯第11胜。

Recently, Müller, who married his long-time partner Victoria Paschold during the DTM summer break, already announced that he will be racing for the ABT team in Formula E next year, together with his former DTM teammate Robin Frijns. 

前不久刚刚大婚的穆勒，已经宣布下赛季将加盟ABT车队，征战Formula E，同行的还有他在DTM的前队友罗宾·弗林斯。

“In addition to Formula E, Nico sees his future at Le Mans and in prototype racing,” Audis head of motorsport Rolf Michl says. “We can’t offer him that at the moment, so it was with a heavy heart that we jointly decided to let him go and give him the opportunity to realize his dream.”

Also, the cooperation with Audi in Switzerland has always been great and very special for me. I still have goals in motorsport that unfortunately cannot be realised with Audi. That’s why I’m very grateful to Rolf Michl for giving me the opportunity to develop further.”
