【英语咨询】CIIF sets up special zone for robots

This year's China International Industry Fair (CIIF), which kicked off in Shanghai on Tuesday, features a special exhibition area for robots spanning more than 50,000 square meters.

This year's CIIF, which occupies 300,000 sq m of exhibition space, features a wide range of industrial products like basic materials, components, machines, equipment, and integrated solutions.

The robot density of Shanghai's manufacturing enterprises above designated size - or those with an annual revenue of 20 million yuan or above – currently stands at 260 robots per 10,000 persons, according to Wu Jincheng, director of Shanghai Commission of Economy and Informatization.

The city is currently home to three national benchmark smart factories, eight national-level demonstration intelligent factories, and 100 city-level smart plants, Wu added.

本周二，今年的中国国际工业博览会（CIIF）在上海拉开帷幕，为机器人设立了一个面积超过5万平方米的特殊展区。

今年的展会面积达300,000平方米，展出了基础材料、元器件、机械设备、集成解决方案等一系列工业产品。

上海市经济和信息化委员会主任吴金城表示，上海规模以上制造企业（或年收入2000万元及以上的企业）的机器人密度目前为每万人260台。

目前，我市已建成3家国家级智能工厂、8家国家级示范智能工厂和100家市级智能工厂。
