I grew up in Los Angeles and was raised on art. I began drawing at a young age and collected various objects, boxes, and small treasures. When I got older, I studied art and learned how to speak my voice in pictures (and then later through words).
In 2013, I created Light Visions. It was my first Tarot deck and a year later, it inspired Prisma Visions. The success of Prisma Visions was a surprise, but it reaffirmed my connection to these magical objects.
In 2015, I became infatuated with the idea of past lives, and my spirituality slowly started to unfold. I wanted to make art about the journey of the soul and the cosmic entanglement that we struggle with each day. I spent a few years relearning myself.
In 2019, I created the first Green Glyphs deck--a Lenormand deck that would inspire the rest of this series of decks years later. Back then, I had no idea that Green Glyphs would expand into a collection of four divination decks and my largest project to date.
In 2020, I released the Cosma Visions Oracle and Geomantic Visions. It was my biggest deviation from traditional systems of Tarot and Lenormand, and the overnight success of this deck taught me that we can make our own world into what we want it to be, something better for the collective whole.

So, I set out to make the Green Glyphs Collection: a set of four decks that cover four corners of divination: Tarot, Lenormand, Runes and Oracle. My intention for the Green Glyphs Collection was to tackle a wide range of divination tools and to unify them, in turn offering a collection of cards that can be mixed together to expand our understanding of what it means to feel connected to ourselves and the paths we travel.
You'll find this note in all four of the guidebooks, but from here on out, all the information varies. Each book has a page dedicated to each card in the deck. Following the card meanings is a section on using the deck in practice as well as using the deck with other Green Glyphs decks.

Green Glyphs, is, to me, a meditation. It's an anthology of magical forms of divination. It's realized, and yet simple and light. It doesn't scream, it doesn't take you to dark places. It's welcoming. It's familiar. It's the quiet negative space that you don't yet know you rely on. It finds itself in your daily life. A yellow butterfly. A day old cup of coffee. The Sun. The Moon. You. Me. It's all there, woven into Green Glyphs like old friends.
Green Glyphs is my attempt at bridging the gap, making something that is not overtly occult but more of a functional art piece that unfolds into four magical forms of divination.
When I created Green Glyphs Lenormand in 2019, I never intended it to grow into the collection it is today. I felt really light when I made the Lenormand deck. It felt calming and healing, like a breath of fresh air. I needed it. And then I made Cosma Visions, an oracle deck that took me nearly two years and a pandemic to finish. It took a lot out of me. It was deep and dark and beautiful.
I wanted to feel that lightness from Green Glyphs again, so I set out to make a Tarot deck in the same style. In the middle of that deck, I started drawing lots of characters and observations that just didn't fit into the Tarot deck. They became their own deck, the Green Glyphs Oracle. These cards came out of me fast. I immediately put together a list of things that filled my mind. I intended to make the Oracle deck a set of sixty cards, thinking that the way the first set poured out of me, it would be no problem. But oddly, around the fiftieth card, it chose to be done. I pushed for more, but everything I added after that point felt forced and unnecessary. And so the Oracle was finished.
I started to study Runes a year or two earlier and had spent a while trying to figure out if and how I wanted to approach the system. In all honesty, I was stuck on Runes. It felt distant to me; I couldn't grasp the significance of the set and I kept confusing myself on the meanings of each rune, not feeling like the symbol was enough for me to latch on to.

So I did what I do best and started drawing them out. I was going to make a rune deck apart from Green Glyphs. but it kept redirecting me back here. There is something that fits really well with the style of Green Glyphs and the ancient Nordic Runes. The places where the playing cards once were in Lenormand made great spots for displaying the runic symbols large enough so that they could still be a main aspect of the card. The simplified coloring also helped guide the Runes in my mind. The use of color-coded cards and clean imagery allowed the cards to be concise and familiar. So, intertwined with the Oracle deck, the Green Glyphs Runes were born.
I always end up spending about as much time on the creation of a deck as I do thinking and writing about it. This is one of the most crucial aspects in creating a deck, at least for me. When I finished the first draft of the three new decks, I closed the files and I didn't look at them for a month or two. This is the part where it stews and I can take a step back and look at it discerningly. I can let go of the cards I love, knowing that they just don't fit. I can edit and revisit cards that need more love, and I can truly understand what the deck is saying. I think that all the decks I make have different personalities, and I wanted to make sure that these decks felt like siblings, but cach with their own uniqueness.

It took me another six months to a year to write this book. The cards were done, but once you start writing about them they change again. It's a push and a pull. It wears me down and then builds me back up. It's thrilling and nerve-wracking, and sometimes it nags at me just a little too much, but I love it all the same.
The glyphs that are scrawled throughout the Green Glyphs decks are meant to add an extra system of symbolism—like emojis, these glyphs can speak on their own.
The Green Glyphs decks can be used by beginners who have never had experience with divination and by advanced readers. The imagery throughout the collection is simple, bold, and easy to decipher. After I finished the collection, I let it sit for a while. I was eager to share the new Green Glyphs decks with the world, but as a creator of magical tools, I know how important it is for these things to take their time to unfold.
Upon writing this in 2022, I have created upwards of 1o different divination tools and decks. The deeper I get into this magical world, the greater my hunger is for uncovering new ways to make magic tools that add lightness to life. It is my wish that your journcy takes you down many winding paths of spiritual discovery.
