视觉文化的交错与偏离
La Biblioteca Miguel de Cervantes de Shanghái, como institución dedicada a la divulgación de la lengua y la cultura en español, promueve el diálogo intercultural a través de una programación que abarca diversas disciplinas. En esta edición de la Feria de Arte West Bund se ha propiciado el desembarco en la ciudad de Shanghái del festival multidisciplinar OFFF Barcelona, una plataforma global para la industria creativa que marca las tendencias de la nueva imagen y la estética en los campos del diseño, el arte y la cultura postdigital. Su actividad se expande a la edición, el cine, la curaduría y dirección de arte, la gestión de eventos y la producción de contenidos creativos. Creada en el año 2000 en Barcelona OFFF es indudablemente el mayor escaparate y punto de encuentro de la creatividad visual contemporánea, donde los mejores talentos comparten su proceso creativo y demuestran la fuerza del futuro en la industria creativa mundial.
De la mano del Festival OFFF presentamos en primicia la muestra colectiva “Inflexiones de la cultura visual”.

Como una de las figuras más destacadas del siglo XX, el poeta irlandés William Butler Yeats dijo: “Por lógica y razón, morimos cada hora; por imaginación, vivimos”. La libertad creativa es nuestro activo fundamental. Por ello, esta exposición invita al espectador a convertirse en testigo de contenido original creado con el corazón. Lejos de querer ofrecer fórmulas interpretativas o un manual de instrucciones para una solución inmediata, esta muestra anima a ahondar en la ambigüedad y complejidad que atañen a la interpretación de nuestro entorno.
El objetivo es proponer contenidos como una especie de proyección cartográfica que aparece más como el rasto de una búsqueda que como la promesa de un destino; una correlación de personajes, temas, imágenes, tramas y otras obsesiones que se vinculan unas a otras e un equilibrio imperfecto. Todo de tal forma que la intervención del espectador es fundamental para su confección. Un laberinto en el que el discurso está libre de todo límite anterior, y en el que la relación entre palabras e imágenes no sigue un orden establecido.
Inflexiones de la cultura visual
Además de las once piezas que se exponen en la Feria West Bund, la Biblioteca acoge parte de esta exposición en el espacio Terraza Cervantes (Anfu Lu 208), con un diálogo entre los vídeos de las artistas Paloma Rincón (México, 1979) y Cao Fei (China, 1978). Ambas obras se presentan como dos grandes teatros, uno de lo orgánico y otro de lo tecnológico. Planteando dos ecosistemas irradiares de vida y tan esenciales para nuestra actualidad, lo real se antepone a lo artificial para revalidarse, y al mismo tiempo dialogan en entornos que se complementan de manera necesaria.

Visual culture inflections
The Miguel de Cervantes de Shanghai Library, as an institution dedicated to the dissemination (传播) of language and culture in Spanish, promotes intercultural dialogue through a program that covers (搂，涉及) various disciplines. In this edition of the West Bund Art Fair, (促成) the landing in the city of Shanghai of the Multidisciplinary Festival of the Barcelona, a global platform for the creative industry that marks the tendencies of the new image and aesthetics in the design fields, Postdigital art and culture. Its activity expands to the edition, cinema, curatorship and art direction, event management and creative content production. Created in the year 2000 in Barcelona OFFF is undoubtedly the greatest showcase and meeting point for contemporary visual creativity, where the best talents share their creative process and demonstrate the strength of the future in the world creative industry.

As one of the most outstanding figures of the twentieth century, Irish poet William Butler Yeats said: “Logic and reason, we die every hour; By imagination, we live. ” Creative freedom is our fundamental asset. Therefore, this exhibition invites the viewer to become a witness of original content created with the heart. Far from wanting to offer interpretive formulas or an instruction manual for an immediate solution, this sample encourages to delve into the ambiguity and complexity that concern the interpretation of our environment.
The objective is to propose content as a kind of cartographic projection that appears more as the track of a search than as the promise of a destination; a correlation of characters, topics, images, plots and other obsessions that are linked to each other and an imperfect balance. All in such a way that the spectator intervention is essential for its preparation. A labyrinth in which the discourse is free of any previous limit, and in which the relationship between words and images does not follow an established order.
Visual culture inflections
In addition to the eleven pieces that are exhibited at the West Bund Fair, the Library hosts part of this exhibition in the Cervantes Terrace Fei (China, 1978). Both works are presented as two great theaters, one of the organic and one of the technological. By raising two irradiar life ecosystems and so essential for our current, the real is put to the artificial to revalidate, and at the same time dialogue in environments that complement each other necessary.
