2.2 主客体对调
人往往是认知的主体,做主语;客观事物一般是认知客体,做宾语。但实际语言
运用中,主体与客体可以对调,人成为被认知的对象。这种现象在英语比较常见,
汉语中也有这种情况, 可以对比学习。
2.2.1 施动者是物,受动者是人
在这种结构里,把“物”作为施动者,人作为受动者。这种用法在汉语中较少见。
1. That's how today's robots will look to people in the year 2035.
生活在 2035 年的人也会以同样的眼光来看待今天的机器人。
2. Smiles decked the face of Mrs. Bennet.(J. Austen Pride and Prejudice)
贝内特夫人满脸堆笑。
3. The logic of this eluded most people. 大部分人不能理解它的逻辑。
elude vt.(观点)不为(某人)所理解
4. Both left and right are focused on climate change with an intensity that eluded
their elders.
左派和右派的年轻政治家们密切关注气候变化问题的程度都为他们的前辈所
不及。
5. In that single moment, desperation wells up inside me.
就在那个瞬间,绝望涌上了心头。
6. It has come to my attention/ notice that some money is missing.
我发现一些钱弄丢了。
7. The whole unorthodox procedure appealed to him.
他对整个非同寻常的过程很感兴趣。

and the welfare of their families.
让人不能接受的是他们的健康及家人的幸福都会因为这些事情而付出代价。
