听说水逆要退散了？这个年度最大“背锅侠”用英语怎么说？
最近，你是不是偶尔觉得诸事不顺，日子过得有点闹心？
分手三年的前男友突然发来关心的问候：最近怎么样？
手机反应越来越慢，给系统升了个级，结果竟然稀里糊涂删了通讯录……
刚充了钱的地铁卡不翼而飞，为了安慰自己狠心打个车，路上又被堵到地老天荒……

“水逆”果然再次“背锅侠”附体……
上微博一搜，2017年度最后一场水逆从月初就开始了。按照网上的说法，这次水逆在考研这个大日子结束。
你身边有没有这种朋友，他们总是身处水逆旋涡的中心，无法自拔：
淘宝下错单了，怪水逆咯！
考试挂科了，怪水逆咯！
大姨妈来了，怪水逆咯！
在他们眼中，水逆就是扫把星的代名词，糟心事的甩锅神器。
水逆当头怎么办？对症下药，网上各式“防水逆”教程、秘籍、符贴一搜一大把。
水逆还是个孩子……怎么能这样对它？
下面我们就来严肃地聊一聊水逆，看看它是如何从一个无辜的星球宝宝成长为人见人嫌的小确丧。
水逆究竟什么意思？
水逆，即水星逆行（Mercury retrograde）。水星（Mercury）英文音译为墨丘利，指的是罗马神话中传递信息的信使。
据美国宇航局（NASA）介绍：
The Romans believed that gods and goddesses were in charge of everything on Earth. Mercury is named after the messenger for their gods. The Roman Mercury had wings on his helmet and shoes. He could travel very quickly from place to place. The planet Mercury moves quickly around the sun.
罗马人认为诸神掌管一切，水星的名字来源于神的信使。罗马人眼中的墨丘利头盔和鞋子上都有双翅膀，能够疾速穿梭于各地。水星绕地球公转最快，因此得名。
在罗马神话里，墨丘利操心的事可不少。他掌管着技术、交通、通讯，还管控着人们的推理逻辑、思维方式和表达能力。
在占星学中，水星逆行期间上述领域会运行缓慢、小问题频出。比如：网络变慢（WiFi might be slow）、航班取消（flights can get canceled）、感情出现危机（relationships can be affectd）或者变得双商感人。
最要命的是，水星还“逆行”得特勤快，一年能出现三到四次，每次持续三周左右，真是阴魂不散。
所以，所谓“水星逆行”是怎么个逆行法呢？
对此，NASA官网给出了专业的解释：
It is not real in that the planet does not physically start moving backwards in its orbit. It just appears to do so because of the relative positions of the planet and the Earth and how they are moving around the Sun.
水星逆行并非真的是水星在其星轨上向后移动。只是由于地球和水星的方位不同，以及他们围绕太阳运动的方式不同，而造成的假象。
不如先回想一下我们坐在火车上看外面的树 ——是不是也会有树在往后退的错觉（illusion）呢？
在地球这儿来说，它走的不是直线，而是自转和公转，但原理也是相同的。
Apparent retrograde motion is when planets appear to temporarily change the direction of their orbits. They don't change direction, it just looks that way from Earth.
行星暂时看起来绕其轨道逆向公转，这种现象叫做表观逆行。事实上行星并没有改变旋转方向，只是从地球上观测起来如此而已。

As mercury passes us by, our line of sight shifts so that about 3 weeks Mercury will appear to loop back on itself when viewed from Earth.
水星从地球旁边过的时候，我们观测的视线发生转变，因此差不多有三周的时间，水星看起来就像是自己在往回走一样。

那为什么我们一年要忍受好几次水星逆行呢？这就要怪我们地球不争气，离太阳公公太远，跑得比离得近的水星要慢，一年被超好几次。
而每一次被超，地球上就会“经历”一次水逆。
It happens when we lap an outer planet, like we do with Mars every 2 years or when an inner planet laps Earth, like Mercury does every 4 months or so.
在绕太阳公转的比赛中，每两年地球跑超位于外圈的火星一圈，每四个月内圈的水星跑超地球一圈，这种时候跑得快的那颗行星看起来就像是逆行了。
所以，锅到底是不是水逆的？
弄清楚了什么是水逆（mercury retrograde），那水逆到底对我们的日常生活有没有影响呢？
对于这个问题，天文学（astronomy）和占星学（astrology）给出了不同的答案。
来自国际占星研究协会（International Society for Astrological Research）的Shelley Ackerman这样说：
一本书中曾提到，水星是一颗“通讯行星” （communication planet），它影响着感知、组织、学习和健康等。
来自芝加哥阿德勒天文馆 （ Adler Planetarium in Chicago）的Michelle Nichols表示这两者并无任何关系：
"None," she said. "Zero. Other planets in the solar system have no effect on our planet. Everything is just too far away."
"毫无关系，” 她说，“太阳系中的其他行星不会对地球有任何影响，因为大家都相距甚远。”
从天文学的角度来看，水逆只是正常的天体运动，甚至都算不上真正意义上的逆行。
因此，Nichols认为水逆与我们的日常生活并无关联：
Based on scientific evidence, if you take all the times that mercury goes into retrograde during the year and you map out when good or bad things happen, there's no correlation or causation.
科学依据显示，如果你把每一次水逆的时间与好事儿和坏事儿发生的时间对照来看，你会发现它们并无关联，也无因果关系。
