With wind it steals in night;

Mute, it moistens each thing.

野径云俱黑，江船火独明。

O’er wild lanes dark cloud spreads;

In boat a lantern looms.

晓看红湿处，花重锦官城。

Dawn sees saturated reds;

The town’s heavy with blooms.

moisten    (使)变得潮湿，变得湿润

saturated    湿透;浸透

关于许渊冲：

1999年，许渊冲被提名为诺贝尔文学奖候选人。虽没有得奖，许渊冲却满不在乎：“诺奖年年都有，而我们的唐诗宋词却已经流传了千年。”他认为，中英互译很难，比英法互译难十倍，而这个重担，只有中国人担得起。他说：

“中国人，就应该自信，就应该有点狂的精神。咱们国家的科技、军事、商业都在走向世界，所缺的，就是文化这一项，我要填补的，就是这一项。”
