But.....when students remove their masks 2-3 times per day to eat together - does that sound safe??? to anyone?? if restaurants can't open, how can 20-35 students be together 2-3times/day w/o masks?

I had two different children tell me "I'm not supposed to tell you" last week. Parents please don't make your children lie to their teachers/caregivers. We know it's tough but the rules are there to protect everyone... and you can be FINED for lying if it leads to an outbreak.

Well, that’s not true - class sizes have gone ^up in every class (as kids leave the disaster that is virtual school).
Cases counts are too high, too little is known about how variants spread in schools.

How can teachers feel confident when gov tells them they are essential but won’t treat them as much? And the icing on the cake is that York Region is vaccinating faith leaders before teachers, school & daycare staff. Why? Male-dominated profession?

I do not feel safe as a high school teacher, nor do I feel my daughter who is an itinerant elementary school teacher is safe. We'll both wear face shields and masks- I double mask- she can't double mask as she has breathing problems. Lunchtime is especially worrying.

was never willing to spend the $ to keep our kids safe. He values his ideology and aspirations far more than he values the safety of children and education workers. The schools were never safe and they played the odds. Now everyone is losing.

Our teens are staying home to learn virtually this week. They usually attend in current hybrid face to face model in secondary. I teach virtually so have this opportunity to choose. #onted #COVID19AB vaccinating all essential workers & a safe stay home plan is critical.
