让家人骄傲的经历

Last year，during the winter， I can't remember what month it was，but my mom was awarded with a very prestigious prize. So my mom was a teacher for more than forty years and she actually started about twenty years ago this program called reading recovery that helps kids read and she would go to many remote遥远的 adj. areas of Canada and promote this program that was really good for children. My mom always thought that the difference between being really successful in life and ending up in prison. It would be getting a good education and ( be liberated) being able to read, so she kind of delicates her life to this and she never really not any recognition for anyone. When she was retired，she kind feel like a little bit useless，but then they phoned her and said we're going to give you this award because you did so much for kids in Canada during your career that you really deserve this. I was so proud of my mom, because my mom was net somebody who would brag 自夸 v. about good things that she was doing. So, of course,extremely proud of my mom because you know I kinda look up to my mom. I always saw what an amazing job that she did and I always felt that she felt that nobody really noticed what she was doing right? Getting this recognition from her peers and having these really important people in education in Canada telling her you really made a difference for the lives of many impoverished children I think it was wonderful and so of course I have to say I wasn't just proud of her but I was extremely happy for her and I gotta give props支持n. to my mom.
